Banco BV is Brazil’s seventh-largest bank, based in São Paulo. It serves wholesale and retail customers and handles treasury, asset management, and brokerage services. The bank was founded in 1988.

Banco BV is owned by Votorantim Group and Banco do Brasil. In 2009, Banco do Brasil acquired a stake, but Votorantim Group kept control of Banco BV.

In 2024, Banco BV shut down its brokerage arm and moved clients to Agora Securities at Banco Bradesco as part of a joint-venture integration.

Banco BV has also pursued Banking as a Service (BaaS). In January 2022, it invested in S3 Bank, becoming a minority shareholder to offer integrated financial and payment solutions. In August 2022, after this investment, S3 Bank partnered with Genyx Solar Power to create Banco Genyx, a digital bank focused on the solar-energy sector, announced at Intersolar South America 2022.
