Robert Stephen (born 27 June 1984 in Glasgow) is a Scottish former professional snooker player. He reached the main professional tour for the 2006–07 season after topping the Scottish rankings. His highest ranking was 82 in 2008/2009.

Stephen began playing competitively in 2003, taking part in Challenge Tour events and the World Championship. He made his pro debut at the 2006 Northern Ireland Trophy, losing 0–5 to Liang Wenbo. His first professional wins came in the 2006 Grand Prix qualifying group, where he beat Lee Page and Mark Joyce 3–0, though he did not reach the tournament itself.

In the 2007 Welsh Open, Stephen made his first professional century, a 115, in a 5–2 win over Tian Pengfei, before losing 5–2 to Stuart Pettman. In the 2007 World Championship he was beaten 9–10 by Alfie Burden and finished the season world number 91, which meant he dropped off the tour.

During 2007/2008 he competed in the Pontin's International Open Series to try to regain his place, reaching the semi-final of Event Three, but he did not win back his tour card for 2008/09. He did, however, top the Scottish rankings on the Scottish Senior Tour, winning three of seven events, and earned a return to the main tour.

In the 2008/09 season he had more success, reaching the last 64 at Bahrain, the Shanghai Masters, and the China Open. In Shanghai he defeated Scott MacKenzie and Paul Davies (both 5–2) before losing 1–5 to Michael Holt. In Bahrain he beat David Grace and Andrew Norman before losing 3–5 to Robert Milkins. At the China Open he lost 5–3 to John Parrott. He failed to qualify for the 2009 World Championship, losing 3–10 to Matthew Selt, and finished the season ranked 88, which led to relegation from the tour.
