Alain Tardif
Alain Tardif (born August 23, 1946) is a former Canadian lawyer and Liberal politician from Asbestos, Quebec. He served as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Richmond—Wolfe from 1979 to 1988. He was first elected in 1979 and re-elected in 1980 and 1984; in 1984 his riding was renamed Richmond—Wolfe. He was one of only five Liberal MPs from Quebec elected outside Montreal that year, avoiding the large Conservative wave. He lost his seat in the 1988 election to Yvon Côté of the Progressive Conservative Party. Tardif served in the 31st, 32nd and 33rd Canadian Parliaments. He was a lawyer by profession.
