Anna Popplewell
Anna Popplewell is an English actress from London, born on 16 December 1988. She studied English at Magdalen College, Oxford, and began acting as a child. Her first professional work was in 1998, and she made her film debut in Mansfield Park (1999).
Popplewell is best known for playing Susan Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia films (2005–2010), a series that earned more than $1.5 billion worldwide. She also appeared in The Little Vampire (2000) and Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003). Later, she starred in the online series Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn (2012) and the TV drama Reign (2013–2017). In 2023 she acted in The Nun II and made her stage debut as Hedda Gabler.
She has also done audiobook narration. Popplewell married Sam Caird in 2016 and they have two children.
She comes from a prominent family: her father, Sir Andrew Popplewell, is a Court of Appeal judge, and her mother, Debra Lomas, is a dermatologist. Her sister is Lulu Popplewell and her brother Freddie. Her grandfather, Sir Oliver Popplewell, was a judge, and her uncle, Nigel Popplewell, was a cricketer.
