Sangil-dong is a neighborhood (dong) in Gangdong District, Seoul, South Korea. The name means "Upper Part," and it sits higher than the nearby area once called Hail-dong (now Gangil-dong) near the Genae stream. It became part of Seoul in 1963.

In the early 1980s, the large Godeok Jugong Apartments was built there by the Korea National Housing Corporation (now Korea Land & Housing Corporation). Sangil-dong Station is the eastern end of Seoul Subway Line 5, and Hanyoung Foreign Language High School is located in the area. Nayeon from Twice was born in Sangil-dong.

The postal code is 134-090 (134 for Gangdong, 090 for Sangil-dong). Samsung Engineering built a new headquarters there, with construction starting in September 2009. The complex has three buildings and covers more than 27,000 square meters, making it one of the larger corporate estates around Seoul.

The area covers about 2.65 square kilometers and had a population of about 33,500 in 2001, giving it a high population density.
