Robert Lyons (American football)

Robert "Bo" Lyons (born December 15, 1935) is a former American college football player and coach. He played as a linebacker at Northwestern. Lyons then joined Northeastern University as a line coach, serving from 1963 through 1971 under head coach Joe Zabilski. He became Northeastern's head football coach in 1972 and remained in that role until 1980. His overall record as head coach was 34 wins, 52 losses, and 1 tie.
