Abner Nangwale
Abner Nangwale (1932 – January 17, 2013) was a Ugandan politician with the Uganda People's Congress. He was born in Bukigai, Bududa District. He served as Member of Parliament for Manjia County and, in 1980, was appointed Minister of Works by President Milton Obote II, a role he held until July 1985. As minister, he promoted universal free education and helped establish several Teachers Training Colleges, now known as Parents Teachers Colleges. He was married and had several children, including Dorothy Nangwale Oulanyah. Nangwale died at his home in Bududa on January 17, 2013, at about 80 or 81 years old, and was buried in Nalufutu, Bunamubi parish, Bukigai sub-county, Bududa District.
