Rob Deniel
Rob Deniel A. Barrinuevo (born October 6, 2003) is a Filipino singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Laguna. He signed with Viva Records in 2020 after his self-made music gained online attention, starting with his bedroom-recorded first single “Ulap.”
Since then, Rob has released a string of singles, including “Baby I Tried,” “Ang Pag-ibig,” “RomCom,” and “Miss Miss.” He teamed up with Janine Teñoso for “Distansya” in 2024 and released “Arrowmance” the same year. In 2025 he put out “Puso” (Heart) and contributed to the SWABE cover album, along with a live EP titled RD Covers (Live) that features Ogie Alcasid songs such as “Ikaw Sana.” His version of “Ikaw Sana” helped boost his popularity, and the track reached number six on the Billboard Top Philippine Songs chart. “Miss Miss” earlier peaked at number 25 on the same Billboard chart, while “RomCom” debuted at number 24 when the chart relaunched in 2024.
Rob was born in San Pablo, Laguna, and studied at Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna and Blessed Christian School. His father gave him his first guitar at age 12, and he learned by himself, often recording with GarageBand. He cites influences like Elvis Presley, Apo Hiking Society, Harry Styles, Rey Valera, and The Beatles, and says he was shy as a child but loves performing.
Besides releasing music, Rob has hosted events with artists such as Arthur Nery, Amiel Sol, and Adie, including a concert at the Araneta Coliseum.
