Anolis danieli
Anolis danieli is a lizard species in the family Dactyloidae. It is found only in Colombia and is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
The name danieli honors Brother Daniel Gonzalez Patiño (1909–1988), a Colombian monk who directed the Museo de Historia Natural in Bogotá.
Habitat and range: It lives in forests at elevations from 1,200 to 1,800 meters (about 3,900 to 5,900 feet).
Description: It is a large anole with a long tail. It can reach about 12 cm (4.7 inches) in snout-to-vent length, with a tail around 33 cm (13 inches).
Reproduction: Anolis danieli lays eggs (oviparous).
Taxonomy: It was described as Anolis danieli by E. Williams in 1988. Some sources list a synonym as Dactyloa danielsi.
