Richard Caldwell
Richard Caldwell (also Caldwall) lived around 1505–1584 and was an English physician. He helped found the Lumleian Lectures, a yearly series of anatomy demonstrations for the College of Physicians. After his death, one of his works was published: a bilingual translation of Tables of Surgerie, based on a Latin text by Horatius Morus of Florence and drawn from the writings of Jean Tagault. The book appeared in both English and Latin. Edward Caldwell, perhaps his son or nephew, sent 500 copies to the College of Physicians.
