Anastasios Bakasetas
Anastasios “Tasos” Bakasetas (born 28 June 1993 in Corinth, Greece) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward. He is the captain of Panathinaikos in the Greek Super League and also captains the Greece national team. He came through the Asteras Tripolis youth system and made his senior debut in 2010, with loan spells at Thrasyvoulos and Aris before moving to Panionios in 2015. In 2016 he joined AEK Athens, helping them win the Greek league title in 2017-18. He then moved to Alanyaspor in Turkey in 2019, followed by a spell with Trabzonspor from 2021 to 2024, before returning to Greece to play for Panathinaikos. On the international stage, Bakasetas has earned over 80 caps and scored 19 goals for Greece since his debut in 2016, with notable moments including a 1-1 draw against Spain in World Cup qualifying in 2021. He is also a UEFA European Under-19 Championship runner-up from 2012. Bakasetas stands 1.81 meters tall and wears the number 11 jersey for Panathinaikos.
