Laurent Catellier
Laurent Catellier (5 September 1839 – 17 January 1918) was a Canadian physician and professor. He was born in Saint-Vallier, Lower Canada, and studied at the Petit Séminaire de Québec before earning a bachelor’s degree in medicine from Université Laval in 1863. He received his Doctor of Medicine in 1865. In 1870 he became a special professor of practical anatomy at Université Laval’s faculty of medicine, and was promoted to full professor in 1874. In 1905 he was appointed dean of the faculty of medicine. Catellier retired in 1910 and was named professor emeritus. He died in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, aged 78.
