Hippolyte bifidirostris is a species of chameleon shrimp in the Hippolytidae family. It was first described by E. J. Miers in 1876. The shrimp lives around New Zealand at depths of about 18–36 meters (59–118 feet). It may also occur on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, but this record needs confirmation. Its scientific name is Hippolyte bifidirostris; it has also been known as Virbius bifidirostris.
