Reincarnation of a Love Bird
Reincarnation of a Love Bird is a jazz studio album by drummer Paul Motian, released in 1994 on the German label JMT. It was recorded in June 1994 and lasts about 48 minutes, featuring Motian and his Electric Bebop Band performing bebop standards.
The album continues Motian’s work with the Electric Bebop Band, following the 1992 release, and was later reissued in 2005 by Winter & Winter. The band includes saxophonists Chris Potter and Chris Cheek, guitarists Wolfgang Muthspiel and Kurt Rosenwinkel, bassist Steve Swallow, and percussionist Don Alias.
A reviewer noted that the surprise of Motian’s debut is less present here, but the album is still considered very good.
