Hustlin' (album)
Hustlin’ is a jazz album by saxophonist Stanley Turrentine. It was recorded on January 24, 1964, at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and released in March or April 1965 on Blue Note (BST 84162). The players are Shirley Scott (organ), Kenny Burrell (guitar), Bob Cranshaw (bass), and Otis Finch (drums). Alfred Lion produced it. In Turrentine’s discography, Hustlin’ comes after A Chip Off the Old Block and before Blue Flames. AllMusic gave it 4 stars, with critic Scott Yanow saying the Turrentine–Scott team never made a weak record, including this one.
