(1-hydroxycyclohexan-1-yl)acetyl-CoA lyase
(1-hydroxycyclohexan-1-yl)acetyl-CoA lyase (EC 4.1.3.35) is an enzyme that breaks down the molecule (1-hydroxycyclohexan-1-yl)acetyl-CoA into acetyl-CoA and cyclohexanone. It belongs to the lyase family, specifically oxo-acid-lyases that cleave carbon–carbon bonds. The reaction is: (1-hydroxycyclohexan-1-yl)acetyl-CoA → acetyl-CoA + cyclohexanone. The systematic name is (1-hydroxycyclohexan-1-yl)acetyl-CoA cyclohexanone-lyase (acetyl-CoA-forming). It is also known as (1-hydroxycyclohexan-1-yl)acetyl-CoA cyclohexanone-lyase.
