R. Lalzirliana
R. Lalzirliana is a Mizoram politician from the Mizo National Front. He has served as a minister in Mizoram, handling portfolios such as power and electricity, art and culture, land resources, soil and water conservation, and district council affairs. He was active in the Young Mizo Association from 1983 to 1985 before entering politics. He contested MLA elections as a Congress candidate in 1998, 2003, 2008, and 2013, and also served as Vice President of the Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee. He was Home Minister in the Congress government led by Lalthanhawla from 2008 until he switched to the Mizo National Front in 2018, joining the MNF government led by Zoramthanga. He ran in the 2018 elections from the Tawi seat on an MNF ticket. In 2023, he lost the Aizawl North-I Assembly seat to Vanlalhlana of the Zoram People’s Movement.
