Pursha is a village in West Bengal, India. It is part of Galsi I community development block in Bardhaman Sadar North subdivision, Purba Bardhaman district. Pursha sits on National Highway 19, the old Grand Trunk Road.

Population
As of 2011, Pursha had 5,740 residents: 2,925 men and 2,815 women. 617 people were under 6 years old. There were 4,085 literate people, about 79.7% of those over 6.

Education
Pursha High School is a coeducational school in the village, affiliated with the West Bengal Board for secondary education and for higher secondary.

Healthcare
The main nearby hospitals in the area are Mankar Rural Hospital (30 beds) in Mankar and Pursha Rural Hospital (30 beds) in Pursha. Primary health centers are at Bharatpur (6 beds) and Lowa, Dwarmari (10 beds).

Administration
Pursha falls under the Bardhaman-Durgapur Lok Sabha constituency and the Galsi Vidhan Sabha constituency. The subdivision it’s in is mostly rural.
