Píntame De Colores
Píntame De Colores is a salsa song by Gloria Estefan from her Spanish-language album 90 Millas. It was written by Gloria Estefan, Emilio Estefan Jr., and Alberto and Ricardo Gaitán (the Gaitanes), and produced by Estefan Jr. and the Gaitanes. Recorded in 2006 at Crescent Moon Studios in Miami, the track lasts about 3 minutes and 32 seconds and appears on Burgundy Records/Sony BMG.
The single was released first in Europe in November 2007 as a promotional release, with a separate US release in February 2008 to Spanish-language radio. Píntame De Colores has a tropical salsa flavor that stands apart from Estefan’s earlier singles. No music video was made for the song.
At the 2008 Latin Grammys, the track was nominated for Best Tropical Song and won, marking Estefan’s first Latin Grammy for a song. It was also nominated for Tropical Airplay Song of the Year, Female at the Latin Billboard Music Awards, but lost to Ivy Queen’s Dime. The song did not chart on the Hot Latin Songs chart, though it reached the Top Ten on the Tropical Airplay chart.
In the album’s single release timeline, it followed Me Odio (2007) and preceded Somos El Mundo (2010).
