Panhala is a Marathi film directed and produced by Nagesh Bhosle, with Leena Deshmukh as a co-producer. Critical reception was negative. Mihir Bhanage of The Times of India gave it 2 out of 5 stars, saying the landscapes are well-shot but the film is disappointing overall. Ganesh Matkari of Pune Mirror felt the film works better as a play but seems odd on screen. Jaydeep Pathak of Maharashtra Times said the content is somewhat right, but the presentation suffers from a weak screenplay that fails to connect modern reality with the history of Panhala.
