Puntarenas Estuary and Associated Mangrove Swamps Wetland
Humedal Estero Puntarenas y Manglares Asociados (Puntarenas Estuary and Associated Mangrove Swamps Wetland) is a protected area in Costa Rica. It covers 52.41 square kilometres (20.24 square miles) and is located in the Central Pacific region at about 10°01′30″N 84°50′49″W (10.025°N, 84.847°W). The estuary was established on 7 September 2006 by decree 33327-MINAE and is managed by SINAC (National System of Conservation Areas) within the Central Pacific Conservation Area.
