William Bacon Evans

William Bacon Evans (1875–1964) was an American teacher and naturalist from Philadelphia. He studied at Columbia University and also attended Rollins College and Harvard University. He taught French and Natural History at Westtown Boarding School. Evans collaborated with Margaret Sibella Brown on a paper classifying mosses he collected in Syria. He was the son of William and Rebecca Carter Evans and was a Quaker.
