Puerphorus
Puerphorus is a genus of plume moths in the family Pterophoridae. It contains a single species, Puerphorus olbiadactylus (Millière, 1859). The genus Puerphorus was described by Arenberger in 1989. The species has also been named Pterophorus olbiadactylus, Pselnophorus hemiargus, and Gypsochares leptodactyla in the past.
Puerphorus olbiadactylus is found in Yemen, Afghanistan, Algeria, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, southern Europe and Turkey. The larvae feed on Phagnalon rupestre, Phagnalon saxatile, Phagnalon sordidum and Phagnalon telonense.
