Milton railway station (Staffordshire)
Milton railway station (Staffordshire)
Milton railway station was a small, disused station in Milton, near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. It lay on the Stoke–Leek line, opened by the North Staffordshire Railway on 1 November 1867. Milton and Endon were the original stations on this line, which left the Biddulph Valley line at Milton Junction. The station had a single platform. Passenger services stopped on 7 May 1956, and the station closed. The line through Milton remained in use for freight until 1988; since then the line has been out of use, though not officially closed. The line later became part of the London, Midland & Scottish Railway.
