Anthony Tuck

Anthony Tuck (born 14 November 1940) is Emeritus Professor of Medieval History at the University of Bristol. He was educated at the Royal Grammar School, Newcastle upon Tyne (1948–1959) and at Jesus College, Cambridge, where he earned his BA and PhD. From 1965 to 1978 he was Senior Lecturer in Medieval History at Lancaster University. He then served as Master of Collingwood College at the University of Durham, a role he held until 1985. His research focuses on the relationship between the king and the nobility in late medieval England. His younger brother is the historian Richard Tuck.
