Demitre was an Albanian noble who held a countship in the Catalan-ruled lands of Thessaly during the late 14th century. In contemporary sources he is named de Mitre or lo comte Mitra, a version of Dimitri/Demetrius. He led Albanian settlers in southeastern Thessaly, a population that had arrived there since around 1320, and he could muster about 1,500 cavalry. As a born vassal of Peter IV, he was allowed to bear the royal banner of Aragon. In 1380–81 he was one of eighteen Catalan vassals in the area, ranking second after the Count of Salona and above the Margrave of Bodonitsa. A document from April 1381 lists him among those praised by Peter IV for services against the Navarrese Company in 1379.
