Ptychadena porosissima

Ptychadena porosissima is a species of frog in the Ptychadenidae family. It is found across many parts of Africa, including Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, South Africa, Eswatini, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, with possible populations in Burundi, Lesotho, and Mozambique. The frog lives in a variety of habitats such as moist forests (both temperate and tropical montane), moist savannas and shrublands, different grasslands, swamps and intermittent marshes, pastureland, and even rural gardens and heavily degraded former forests. Its conservation status is Least Concern according to the IUCN. Binomial name: Ptychadena porosissima, described by Steindachner in 1867.
