Sunil Singh Yadav, also known as Sunil Singh Sajan, is an Indian politician from Uttar Pradesh and a member of the Samajwadi Party. He was born on February 16, 1981, in Unnao, UP, and studied at Lucknow University, where he earned a Master’s degree and an LLB. He began his political career in student politics, becoming president of student unions at Lucknow University and later rising to lead the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha, the party’s student wing. He joined the Samajwadi Party in 1998 and later became national president of the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha in 2010.

Sunil served as the Dairy and Milk Minister in Uttar Pradesh under Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav from May 21, 2013, to March 14, 2017. He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) for the Lucknow–Unnao seat, serving from 2016 to 2022. In 2022, he lost the MLC election by 3,088 votes to BJP candidate Ram Chandra Singh Pradhan. He also led a Samajwadi Party relief team to Kathmandu after the 2014 earthquake. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles in party organizations and is closely associated with Akhilesh Yadav.
