Pratt Homestead
Pratt Homestead is a historic house in Spencertown, New York, along Route 203. It was built around 1760 by the Pratt family, early settlers in the area. The two-story house has a center chimney and plank-wall construction, a design tied to the Connecticut River Valley. The interior also reflects Connecticut building traditions. The property covers about 8.8 acres and was used as a home and for farming, including livestock management. The Pratt Homestead is notable for its well-preserved restoration and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 2, 2009, recognizing its role in the migration of New England settlers into eastern New York before the Revolutionary War.
