The 1993 World Snooker Championship, sponsored by Embassy, was held from 17 April to 3 May at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England. It was a ranking event organized by the WPBSA, with a total prize fund of £1,000,000 and £175,000 for the winner.

Stephen Hendry of Scotland won his third world title, defeating Jimmy White of England 18–5 in the final, with a session to spare.

The tournament set a new record with 35 century breaks. The highest break of the event was 144 by Steve Davis. Hendry’s best break was 136, and White’s was 60.
