Peter Fisher (born Péter Fischer; July 1929 – 18 March 2013) was a Hungarian-born cinematographer and photojournalist who built his career in Britain. He was born in Budapest into a traditional Jewish family; his father was engineer Pál Fischer and his mother Lola Bader.

He studied cinematography at the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest in the 1950s, where he met his first wife, actress Flóra Kádár. They later divorced. He then married Blandine Costi and later Carol Joernet.

After the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, he left Hungary for Great Britain. Unable to resume his cinematography work without a union card, he moved into stills photography. He became one of the best-known photographers of the Jewish community and was famous for his photographs of actress Jayne Mansfield, whose visit to his studio drew crowds in the streets.

Fisher died in London on 18 March 2013, aged 83. He had a younger brother, György Fischer, a pianist and conductor; his cousins include conductors Ádám Fischer and Iván Fischer.
