Pasicles of Thebes
Pasicles of Thebes was a 4th-century BC Greek philosopher and the brother of the Cynic Crates of Thebes. He attended Crates’ lectures but is mainly linked to the Megarian school of philosophy. Some ancient sources call him a pupil of Euclid of Megara, while others mention an unknown "Dioclides the Megarian" as his teacher. He is said to have taught Stilpo, the leader of the Megarian school, which would place Pasicles as Stilpo’s teacher, Stilpo as Crates’ teacher, and Crates as Pasicles’ teacher. Crates even named his son Pasicles. Very little reliable information about him survives.
