In 2012 she left Argentina and moved to India, settling in Rishikesh, a town at the foot of the Himalayas known as the world capital of yoga. She uses the stage name Daisy May Queen in honor of Brian May, the guitarist of Queen, whom she admires. She met May at Rock in Rio in 1985 and gave him a charango; she then adopted his surname and added Queen to emphasize her admiration.
