Pachyserica scalaris
Pachyserica scalaris is a species of scarab beetle found in Myanmar. It belongs to the Scarabaeidae family. Adults are about 9–10 mm long. The body is reddish-brown, elongated and oval with some dark spots and a hint of greenish shine. The antennae are yellowish-brown. Most of the surface is dull and hairy, except for a shiny patch on the labroclypeus at the head. The upper side bears many small white scale-like hairs forming nearly uniform stripes. The pronotum and elytra carry a few long, thin bristles.
