Center for Evolutionary Psychology (CEP) is a research center at the University of California, Santa Barbara, co-founded and co-directed by John Tooby and Leda Cosmides. It supports research and training in evolutionary psychology. The center aims to uncover the brain’s species-wide design and explain social and cultural phenomena through these adaptations. Its external advisory board includes Irven Devore, Paul Ekman, Michael Gazzaniga, Steven Pinker, and Roger Shepard. Location: 34°24′43″N 119°50′42″W.
