Villette-sur-Ain is a small commune in eastern France, in the Ain department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It lies on the banks of the Ain river and is part of the Dombes area, about 45 kilometers from Lyon. It is in the Bourg-en-Bresse arrondissement and the Ceyzériat canton.

The town covers about 119 square kilometers. In 2023, around 780 people lived there, giving a population density of about 40 people per square kilometer. The elevation ranges from 222 to 331 meters above sea level, averaging around 235 meters.

The mayor is Jean-Pierre Humbert, serving the 2020–2026 term. The postal code is 01320 and the INSEE code is 01449. The name of the commune used to be Villette before 1991.
