Stephanie McIntosh
Stephanie McIntosh is an Australian actress, singer and songwriter born on July 5, 1985 in Sydney, Australia. She comes from a family involved in acting; her mother Sue McIntosh is a former TV actress and her half-brother is Jason Donovan.
She first appeared on screen in The Wilde Girls (2001) and The Legacy of the Silver Shadow (2002) before joining the popular Australian soap Neighbours as Sky Mangel in 2003. McIntosh played Sky until 2007, returning briefly for anniversaries in 2015, 2020, 2022 and a cameo in 2024.
Music career
McIntosh released her debut album Tightrope in September 2006 with Universal Music. The album reached No. 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified Gold. Its lead single, Mistake, released in 2006, peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Singles Chart and also went Gold. The second single, Tightrope, reached No. 16 on the ARIA Singles Chart, while So Do I Say Sorry First? peaked at No. 34. A repackaged edition of Tightrope added the track Catching My Breath. Her reality show The Steph Show documented the two years she spent making the album.
Acting after Neighbours
Beyond Neighbours, McIntosh acted in Liars All (2012) as Casey Kass and in Red Herring (2014) as Charlie. She reprised Sky Mangel for Neighbours’ 30th anniversary in 2015 and then returned to the character on a recurring basis in 2020. Sky Mangel appeared again in Neighbours’ final episode in 2022, with a brief return in 2024.
Personal life
McIntosh dated AFL star Nick Riewoldt for about four and a half years, splitting in 2009. In March 2014, she began dating Peter Hieatt, a landscape designer, and the couple has two daughters.
