Pachypodium geayi is a large, spiny succulent from southwest Madagascar. It belongs to the dogbane family (Apocynaceae). The plant has a thick, metallic grey trunk with evenly spaced thorns. Its leaves are thin and grey-green with a bright pink midrib. It bears white flowers. Among Madagascar Pachypodiums, geayi is one of the largest species. It is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN. Scientific name: Pachypodium geayi (Costantin & Bois).
