Davao City's 1st congressional district
Davao City's 1st congressional district is one of the three districts in Davao City, in the Davao Region of the Philippines. It has sent representatives to the House of Representatives since 1987. The district combines the downtown core (40 barangays) with the Talomo district to the west (14 barangays), for a total of 54 barangays.
As of 2020, the district’s population was 618,729, and the electorate was 366,439 in 2025.
Major settlements include Bago Aplaya, Bago Gallera, Baliok, Bucana, Catalunan Grande, Catalunan Pequeño, Dumoy, Langub, Ma-a, Matina Aplaya, Matina Crossing, Matina Pangi, Talomo Proper, and other barangays.
The district was created in 1987. It is currently represented in the 20th Congress by Paolo Duterte of the Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod (HTL). His congressional bloc is Independent.
