Steven Wofsy
Steven C. Wofsy is an American scientist who studies the Earth's atmosphere and oceans. He is the Abbott Lawrence Rotch Professor of Atmospheric and Environmental Science at Harvard University and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In 2011, he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences, and in 2012 he received the Roger Revelle Medal. Wofsy is a leading expert in measuring atmospheric gases, including greenhouse gases, using spaceborne sensors. He helped start the MethaneSAT project with Steven Hamburg of the Environmental Defense Fund.
