Dalgopol Municipality
Dalgopol Municipality is in Varna Province in northeastern Bulgaria. Its administrative centre is the town of Dalgopol. The municipality covers 442 square kilometers and had 14,364 residents in December 2009, giving a population density of about 32.5 people per square kilometer. It includes 16 settlements. A notable feature is the Tsonevo Reservoir, the third largest in Bulgaria, built along the Luda Kamchiya river, a main tributary of the Kamchiya river that runs through the area from west to east. The region uses Eastern European Time (UTC+2) and observes daylight saving time (UTC+3 in summer). In the 2011 census, among those who answered, 49.5% identified as Muslims and 41.7% as Orthodox Christians.
