Olearia ericoides
Olearia ericoides is a small to medium, slender, hairless shrub in the daisy family that is endemic to Tasmania. The stems and leaves are shiny and sticky. Leaves are oblong to narrowly linear, about 3–5 mm long, sessile, with edges rolled under. The plant bears solitary, daisy-like flower heads at the ends of branchlets, with white and yellow florets. The fruit is a reddish achene with rigid bristles. Olearia ericoides was first described in 1856 by Joachim Steetz as Eurybia ericoides from specimens collected near Hobart in 1837; Norman Wakefield renamed it Olearia ericoides in 1956. The name ericoides means "Erica-like." This species grows on dry hillsides in the south and south-east of Tasmania.
