The Church of the Nativity of Jesus Christ is a historic fortified church in the center of Ternopil, Ukraine, at 22 Ruska Street. It is built in a distinctive conch church style and is made from dressed sandstone. Construction took place from 1602 to 1608, led by builder Leontii. The church houses the miraculous Icon of the Ternopil Mother of God. Over the years, it has served different churches: it began as an Orthodox church, later became a Greek Catholic church, and served as the deanery church of the Greek Catholic Metropolia of Halych. After the Synod of Lviv in 1946, it was under the Russian Orthodox Church. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, it belonged to the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, and since 2018 it has been part of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
