Eccleston Park railway station
Eccleston Park railway station serves Eccleston Park in Prescot, Merseyside, England. It is on the electrified Merseytravel Liverpool to Wigan City Line, about 14.1 km northeast of Liverpool Lime Street. The station is operated by Northern Trains and branded by Merseytravel, with Merseytravel ticketing.
History
The station opened in July 1891 by the London and North Western Railway. The line was electrified, and electric services began on 17 May 2015 using Class 319 trains.
Facilities
The station has 2 platforms. The ticket office is staffed during service hours from Monday to Saturday (05:50–23:30); Sundays are closed. The main building on platform 1 includes a waiting room, while platform 2 has a shelter. Train information is available via help points, screens, and timetable posters. Step-free access to both platforms is by ramps.
Services
- Weekdays and Saturdays: every 30 minutes in each direction between Liverpool Lime Street and Wigan North Western.
- Sundays: hourly service to Blackpool North (northbound) and Liverpool Lime Street (southbound) since 10 December 2017.
