Thipsamai (Thai: ทิพย์สมัย) is a popular restaurant on Maha Chai Road in Samran Rat, Bangkok. It is best known for Pad Thai, made with sun-dried sen chan noodles from Chantaburi and a homemade prawn oil. The business started in the 1950s as a street stall and moved to a storefront in 1966. It is owned by Sikarachat Baisamut. The name comes from his mother, Samai Baisamut, who began selling pad thai with her mother after working on a boat on Phasi Charoen Canal in Samut Sakhon Province.
