This article highlights large oil projects that aim to add more than 20,000 barrels per day of new liquid fuel capacity, with first production expected to begin in 2014.

Terminology
- Barrels per day (bpd): the standard unit for oil output. One barrel is about 159 liters.
- Cubic meters per day (m3/d): another way to measure output. 1 m3/d is about 6.289 barrels per day. The threshold of 20,000 bpd is roughly 3,200 m3/d.
