Istieus is an extinct genus of prehistoric bony fish that lived during the Santonian to Campanian stages of the Late Cretaceous. It belongs to the kingdom Animalia, phylum Chordata, class Actinopterygii, and order Albuliformes. The genus Istieus was named by Agassiz in 1839, and a known species is Istieus microspondylus.
