Mugurel Florin Cornățeanu (born 21 February 1972 in Constanța) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a midfielder and is now the sporting director at Politehnica Iași in Liga II. He played in Romania's top league (Divizia A) with Farul Constanța and Steaua București, and in Divizia B with Callatis Mangalia, Portul Constanța and Laminorul Roman. He also spent time in Belgium with Beveren, Lokeren and Turnhout. In total, he made 164 club appearances and scored 29 goals.

After retiring as a player, Cornățeanu began a coaching and managerial career. He has worked as an assistant at Callatis Mangalia, a youth coach at Farul Constanța and at the Gheorghe Hagi Academy, and later held roles at Dinamo II București, Botoșani (including a spell as caretaker), Concordia II, Voința Turnu Măgurele and Petrolul Ploiești, before taking up his current position as sporting director at Politehnica Iași in 2024.
