Erica Rivinoja is an American writer, producer and director for film and television. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. Her other screenplays include Extreme Movie (2008) and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (2013), and she has story credits on Trolls (2016), Girls Trip (2017) and The Addams Family (2019). She will make her directorial debut with an animated adaptation of The Cat in the Hat, set for 2026. From 2001 to 2012, she worked on South Park as a writer and consultant, earning two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program from four nominations. In July 2020, she was announced as the showrunner of the Clone High revival. She is from Hobbs, New Mexico, and graduated from Hobbs High School in 1995.
