Nordine Ben Ali
Nordine Ben Ali (July 19, 1919 – May 15, 1996) was an Algerian-French footballer and manager. He played as a midfielder and had a long club career in France.
Born in Bologhine, French Algeria, Ben Ali was part of Girondins ASP, helping the team win the Coupe de France in 1941 and reach the final in 1943. His other clubs included Le Mans (1944–45), Stade Français (1945–47), Le Havre (1947–48), Colmar (1948–49) where he made 15 appearances and scored 1 goal, Strasbourg (1949–50), Monaco (1950–51) with 18 appearances, and Niort (1957–60), where he served as player-manager.
After his playing days, he continued as a coach, leading Niort (1957–1960), La Voulte (1961–62), and Dijon (1966–67 and 1973–75).
Ben Ali died in Lourdes, France, in May 1996 at the age of 76.
